The Sun News,

Letter to the Editor,

P.O. Box 406,

Myrtle Beach, SC 29578

Dear Editor and Chief,

My name is Nicholas Howell. I am in the 10th grade and I go to early college high school on Conway, SC

I am writing in response to television violence and the effects it has on children. I believe there should be more restrictions to the shows and movies presented on the screen. Many kids that watch television can be harmed in many ways from just watching a program. Many people might say my kid has watched a certain program and he’s fine, but every kid isn’t  the same and they all see things differently.
From my research on the topic I learned a child can become numb to the violence, or accept violence as a way to solve problems. If a child has a mental disorder, the child can pick up a violent habit. I believe with all my heart television should be restricted. Television has over the years gotten more and more violate. Do you not agree?
Thank so much for your time. I appreciate your help and hope to hear from you soon.
